Texas Stadium Demolition

When I saw this video show up on Youtube I just had to post it. It is always cool to watch a building implode. May have been better if the Dallas Cowboys football team was still inside it, but I guess you can’t always have everything.

First Step on a Very Slippery Slope

North Dakota to Dump Fighting Sioux nickname

This has been something that has been going on for while. This to date is the only one that I know of that a university has actually caved in and decided to change their name. The problem is that this ow starts a president for other groups to try and start sew some of these schools to get paycheck. Soon down the road PETA will start trying to start trying to sew all the school or even professional teams with animal mascots to change their name. Then if that works some Irish person will get the idea to be up set that Notre Dame’s Mascot is a Fighting Irish Man. Then it would be Notre Dame home of that Cupcakes, but then that would only work until the people that go to the football games figure out they are fat because they eat too much since they were encouraged to eat more because they are known as the Cupcakes.

Baseball History…

Tonight Derek Jeter became the all time hits leader in Yankees history.  It was a record that stood for 72 years when Lou Gehrig previously set the mark.  It is just amazing that shut a record like this can be broken in the modern game with free agency and players always looking to move on for bigger money.

I was looking around to see if I could get a video of the actual hit last night but it looks like the game wasn’t on TV so I had to find the next best thing.

Football Season is finally here….

Tonight was finally the start of the College Football Season.  While I would have like to see Boise St would have lost this was almost as awesome.

Not surprising that the player was suspended for the rest of the season.  To just added more to my dislike of Boise St.  They announced that there were not going to be a punishment for their player that was punch and actually started the whole thing that wasn’t in this video.  But then this is the Boise St Football team which according to the people that live there is the best team in the country (insert sarcasm here).

Finally made it to an Aces Game…

Aramelle and I got pretty lucky to be able to do two games in a weekend for a first experience to an Ace’s Game.  Things started when Aramelle’s work was planning a company outing to a game.  We decided to go since there was a little bit of a discount since they have a whole group going.  Shortly after that my work was then planning an outing for the night before.  So we ending up going both on to Friday and Saturday night’s game.  Below we have some pictures.

We already have tickets for the June 12th game when they will be having Military Appreciation Night.  Plan to have some more pictures and maybe a video or two after that night.

Been a little while…

So I thought I should throw something up here real quick before it becomes two weeks and I haven’t posted anything.

Nothing really special going on around here as of late which is really a big reason why there hasn’t been that much posting going on.

One thing that I am excited about is I was finally able to get a copy of Pinnacle Studio 12 that I have been wanting to pick up for a while now.  I can hardly wait now to get some video footage that I so I can get some more videos put together.

Another thing to really look forward to is that it is getting close to being baseball season.  I am really looking forward to getting in some Reno Aces games this summer.  The Park is coming along nicely.

Not much else going on right now other then that.  I am going to try and do a better job of posting in here more often and not just with crap that I found around on the Internet.

49ers Sign Singletary as Full Time Coach

The 49ers have redeemed themselves a little after the terrible showing of fire then Head Coach Mike Nolan in the middle of the season.  The 49ers have officially signed Mike Singletary to a 4 Year Deal.

The decision had been made before before their last game with the Redskins but not announced until the post game news conference.

After Singletary took over the 49ers were 5-4 ending the season 7-9.  This now coming out and after all the new players that the Yankees have signed for next year I am really looking forward to the coming year in sports.  Now if Nevada can with their Bowl Game tomorrow things in sports will be really good for me.

Yankees Sign Teixeira

I am already getting so excited for Baseball Season and it still December.  First Sabathia, the Burnett, and now Teixeira.  All Yankees!

Another year, another loss to Boise State.

Yet another year Nevada gave the game away against Boise State.  This year I think was a little bit worse then last year just because there is so much hype around this team as they are ranked so high.  I quite frankly think any one that thinks this team should be ranked that high needs to be kicked squarely in the head, but that is a different post all together.  When it comes right down to it with some better play this game wouldn’t have been even as close as it was and Nevada could have sent all of the Orange clad donkey lovers back home with a loss.

All en all it was a fun day.  After the football game I ended up going with Lou and Mark to the Home Opening for the basketball team against Oregon State.  Check out the main site as I have pictures up loaded both from this weekend and last weekends game against San Jose State.

Little Late

I don’t seem to have as much time as I used to in the evening with all of the good shows on and trying to hit the gym after work on a consistent basis so as you can see I haven’t been posting in here as much lately or got around to posting some of the pictures I have been wanting to get up to my flickr account that I took on our recent Trip to Minnesota.

After a very long week at work Aramelle and I both were very much looking forward to the weekend.  We started off with the Nevada Football Game on Saturday.  It was pretty fun in that they won and it was Military Appreciation Day being the week of Veterans Day.  Of course knowing this Aramelle brought along her camera for a few shots all of which I will get posted here hopefully this weekend at the latest on the main page.

After the game we went home to relax a little bit before going out to Celebrate a little bit for Aramelle’s Birthday that was on Sunday.  We started off with dinner at the Prime Rib Grill and had a very nice dinner that was followed up by this desert.

After Dinner we made our way over to Circus Circus for a little while to catch one of the Circus acts.  We tried to get some video but all we had with us was our little Point and Shoot Camera so they weren’t the best.  One Weekend we plan on Going back and catching all of the shows.  For we will take the regular video camera.

We then headed over to The Catch a Rising Star Comedy Club in the Silver Legacy.  This was actually the second time we have been there in the last few weeks plan on making as many trips as we can.

This next weekend will be the last home football game for this year.  We are still thinking about if we are going to take a Camera or not so they may be more pictures after this weekend.
