In an effort of trying to actually show some life in my Blog here I have finally sat down and over hauled my Picture Gallery.  I even added some recent pictures from the Sacramento Zoo from last week.

Hopefully this time I can keep the updates coming on a some what regular basis as I try to find the balance of having and keeping up on both my Blog and Facebook Page.

As time as gone on since I started this blog I have noticed that my interests have starting changing.  Some due to having a family not and priorities changing and some due to just getting older and wanting to move on to different things.  With that being said I am working on making creating some new pages for some new interests while others will be coming down.  Not to mention a overhaul of the pictures page that also needs to have pictures posted to it more often.

Along with these changes I am working on posting more often.  I know that has been something that I have been talking about for a while now.  What can I say that is still a work in progress.

So stay turned and watch for the coming changes.

No, this isn’t a dead site.  I have actually been making posts here but I didn’t realize that they weren’t showing up at all after publishing them and seem to not exist.  I guess I should have be watching my front page more so they I would have noticed this.

The ones that I am can I am going to go back and redo on about the dates they were posted on so that would be why you may see some older posts on here that you could have sworn you never saw before.

So you may have noticed that I don’t have any picture up from the Wolf Pack games as I promised in my last picture update post.  Well rules at the stadium have changed and you are no longer able to SLR camera in.  So I finally Uploaded pictures from July 4th and our Trip to Mendocino that I should have posted a long time ago.

It may have taken a couple of weeks but in an effort to try and get back to posting on a regular basis I have finally got pictures that I took at The Great Reno Balloon Race up in my Picture Section.

I know that formatting is a little bit off right now but I am hoping to be able to get that fixed when I get another gallery to post in there so that the table will then be spaced properly.  Should be hopefully this weekend as I plan on shooting some pictures at the Nevada Football Game on Friday.

Been messing around with Artisteer that Aramelle found.  Probably going to be doing some more tweaking as I go a long, and maybe get something to throw up in the header also.  It really was time for a change and it was so nice to be able to make something that I wanted with Aristeer instead of just trying to find the closest thing in the WordPress Theme Directory.

I have been using Pidgin for a couple of years now as my way to be in different IM services with out having to be log into multiple programs at once.  As I have been using my blog more I thought that it might be cool to be able to have a online notification showing when I am online.  There was a couple of WordPress plugins for this but nothing that seems to be updated for the newer versions of the software.

Finally this morning I came across a widget that Digsby that give you the a little chat window that you see to the left.  With this you can see when I am online and start a chat with my from my blog.

Because of his I have moved some things around in an effort to try and not have my columns go on for ever.

So after some messing around with it the Flickr Account just really wasn’t working out for me.  So I have decided to delete the my account and go with Picasa.  It gives me some options to have as many albums or sets as I want to be able to separate my pictures groups and embed them easily into my blog and be able to add comments and other things to the picture page.

Right now I just have some picture up that I took at Rancho San Rafael Park.  I still need to get Idle Wild Park and pictures from Minnesota up as well as some pictures from Thanksgiving in Boise before I have everything caught up again.

Yet another year Nevada gave the game away against Boise State.  This year I think was a little bit worse then last year just because there is so much hype around this team as they are ranked so high.  I quite frankly think any one that thinks this team should be ranked that high needs to be kicked squarely in the head, but that is a different post all together.  When it comes right down to it with some better play this game wouldn’t have been even as close as it was and Nevada could have sent all of the Orange clad donkey lovers back home with a loss.

All en all it was a fun day.  After the football game I ended up going with Lou and Mark to the Home Opening for the basketball team against Oregon State.  Check out the main site as I have pictures up loaded both from this weekend and last weekends game against San Jose State.

It took some time but with the help of a good friend of mine the picture Gallery is up and running.  I hope to start getting some of my pictures up there soon as I start doing more and more with getting in to my photography.
