6/18: Sweet Potatoes
At Zachary’s 6-month check up on June 18, the pediatrician gave us the go-ahead to start introducing Zachary to the world of food. We wasted no time and gave Zachary his first taste of “real” food (not counting the boring rice cereal he’s been taking for a couple of months) that same night. We picked sweet potatoes for his first bites, and he really liked them!

Last week I was waiting for my check-up in the waiting room at the cancer center. In strolls a young girl with a beautiful little girl in her arms. Grandmother was in for radiation and so they were waiting . I could not keep my eyes away from her. I ask the mother how old she was. She answered six months. Her birthday is Dec. 14. I ask how much she weighed at birth. She wieghed 7 lb. 8 oz. She was a happy little child. I was charmed. Never made a sound just hed the keys and moved her little arms and legs much the same as Zachary. Zachary is more active in every way and he is telling more stories already . Zachary has larger eyes and more expresssions . I did not brag but I could have.
